As an owner, you won't be either accountable to or dependent on a landlord.
If you've rented, you know the problems. The landlord wants to make money, not invest it in making your home a better place to live. So it's hard to get the improvements or repairs that you need for an enjoyable living experience -- it's often impossible without an increase in relational tensions.
